After having discussed how to choose a partner the Indian style, I have thought it ideal to discuss how to organise an Indian wedding. Religion plays a major role in any wedding. In the Indian culture Hindu religion is common and plays a major role in an Indian wedding. This starts from the time you find the ideal partner with help from your family or religious leader. Socialisation starts from within the family .In the Indian family you learn how to be socially. Family instructs us to tolerate the reality that there’s a mutual concern, which possibly may be more important than personal concern. Hence, it might need to be comprised in favour of family concern. This changes personal behaviour and instils tolerance, forbearance, obedience, passion and commitment, concern and sacrificial love. In an Indian family this restrains selfishness and removes inflexibility. As a matter of fact, a household is the first social institution that educates about social values and acceptable social behaviour amongst humans. Cultural values are in essence household values written in a broad way. Without the family, concepts like patriotism would be absent and couldn’t have endured for a long time principally because there’s been a logical stress on implementing family values. Indian fashion has a long history which is interesting to follow. In the past ‘kurtas’ and 'Om shirts' had their hits in 60s and 70s.However in January 2000, Ritu Beri presented her Summer 2000 collection in Paris, France. The first Indian fashion designers to exhibit their innovations at the world's largest prêt-a-porter fair in Germany, IGEDO,Wendell Rodricks and Anita Dongre made history the world over.
These designs are unique in that they carry the significance of the Indian style whilst bearing a global wear ability concept. The last decade has seen the Indian fashion industry growing significantly. This also brought the embroidery and traditional Indian fabric into fashion worldwide and has brought Indian fashion onto the centre stage of the global fashion industry.
Considering the fact that Paris and New York are at the forefront of dictating fashion trends, India has proved to stand the taste of time with its instinctive handmade Indian clothes. It has a great fabric legacy and isn't showcased in museums, but is found in the hands of its craftsmen.
The whole world stands at awe at the craftsmanship and designs of the Indians when it comes to embroidery and beading. Traditional designs and colour with an advanced Morden feel gives it a whole new interpretation that is appreciated all over the world.
